Swami Shreeji
Under the instructions of Yogiji Maharaj and with his blessings the Sadhak sisters attended a spiritual seminar at Varsova in 1965.
The seminar focused on how these sisters would achieve their goal of attaining ékantik dharma - a single-minded conviction for God and religion. The main contents of those seminars have been published here in this book as essays.
From 1966 to 1972, the Vrat-dhari sisters, youths and santos endeavoured eagerly to practice these principles under the spiritual guidance of P.Pappaji, P. Kakaji and P. Ba. As a result - in 1973 we have witnessed the following truth emerge :
A true sadhu is one who imparts peace unto those who come in contact with him. (shanti pamadé téné sant kahiyé)
Many such sadhaks have accomplished this spiritual status. We hope and pray that the Applied Brahm-Gnan published in this book will enlighten any new sadhaks treading upon this path.
Jai Swaminarayan

As the devotee who is in the state of sadhna known as Gun-Buddhi (i.e. whose every thought and action is based on his intellectual mind) humbly endeavours to serve the Lord and disciples, the Satpurush will bless him by taking His place in the devotee's heart and will begin to guide him. Gradually the devotee will reach the state of sadhna known as Atma-Buddhi - i.e. where all his actions, thoughts and perceptions are based on the Atma (Atma being the Satpurush in his inner heart, mind and soul). He will have attained what is known as 'Atma-Bhudhi and Priti' with the Satpurush (this is a oneness with the Satpurush whereby the soul feels a sense of belonging to the Satpurush and continually endeavours to live according to His wishes.) Ref. Vachnamrut G. I. 37.

The concepts of brahmcharya (to remain submerged in Brahm) and ahinsa (non-violence) are fundamental to the religion of an ékantik. The ékantik devotee who has recognised the supreme being, brahm - within Yogiji Maharaj and who now endeavours to lead a life which will please Yogiji Maharaj is truly 'living' in the spiritual sense of the word. Just as a fish will perform all it's activities whilst remaining submerged in water, it would die if lifted out of the water, by the same token an ékantik's lifeline becomes brahm, the supreme being - Yogiji Maharaj. Now the ékantik can only associate with either brahm or that which is associated with brahm. He can only participate in activities (thinking, saying, acting) which would please brahm. All aspects of his life; his personal, moral, social, and spiritual behaviour will be based upon the following :

Always remain happy and contented in the knowledge that you have attained the ultimate. To have found God, the association of a Sadhu and good health. All three are rarely achieved simultaneously. This is something you have, therefore you should celebrate and rejoice !! According to Vachnamrut G. III 2, the attainment of the Pratyaksh Swaroop (God) is the pinnacle of all accomplishments, this is the ultimate salvation and redemption of the soul known as Moksh. The realisation of the Pratyaksh Swaroop and his sambandhwalas as divine beings is the ultimate salvation and the greatest achievement.

'Mahima' is to staunchly believe that the Pratyaksh Swaroop, whom we believe and have become devotedly attached to, is the all inspiring one.... the one who controls our fate and destiny, our past, present and future and is the almighty divine Lord himself, as described in Vachnamrut G. I. 62 and Swami-ni-Vato : Chapter 4 Discourse 143. One should constantly endeavour to maintain this mahima i.e. to believe and accept that the Pratyaksh Swaroop is the almighty Lord himself who has come down to earth in the form of a human. He is divine, whatever He does, or says is divine. One should always try to keep one's mind full of thoughts of mahima and firmly accept that whatever the Pratyaksh Swaroop says is always right, and accept that everything associated with 'I' , 'me' or 'mine' is always wrong.

In the last chapter we discussed how to remain submerged in brahm; that is to constantly remain in Akshardham. Bapa has bestowed His grace upon us and has granted us this gift. We may wonder how has he done this ? The fact that He has allowed us His sambandh; His divine love for us and His presence in our lives is the most important factor. All we need to do now is to constantly remember Bapa, reminisce over His memories and that in itself is Akshardham. The gift of Bapa's presence in our lives has cost us absolutely nothing; He compassionately bestowed it upon us gratis. He has redeemed us from jivbhav ; our innermost self - the ego.
