To commemorate this event, the website team has put together a series of special articles to celebrate the life and work of these swaroopo in our samaj. These will be on the website from today and provide an excellent lead up to the start of these samaiya in June. We hope that these items will focus our understanding of their achievements and lead us better prepared to participate in these events.
The programme for the samaiya events has already been published, this article provides more detail for each of the following major utsav taking place in June:
1. Opening ceremony of the Shaswatdham
Sashwatdham is the name given to the memorial being created at Pappaji Tirth. This is the place where people can come and pay their respects to a great radical satpurush whose life and works are celebrated in Gunatit Jyot. The one who had the courage and belief to follow his guru’s wishes despite the challenging beliefs of the day. It was revolutionary to allow women to attain the spiritual progress as predicted by Shreeji Maharaj in Vachanmrut G.III. 26. Param Pujya Didi has declared that anyone who comes and prays here in this place will achieve their prayers and wishes.
The opening ceremony will start with a mahapuja, attended by santo, beno, yuvako, ghrashto of the samaj and will culminate in the opening ceremony of a life size murti of Guruhari Pappaji Maharaj and the new memorial at Shaswatdham.
2. Param Pujya Pappaji’s 60th anniversary of his divine day
Param Pujya Pappaji realised that what his soul has been searching for on the 1st June 1952. Since then, he dedicated his life to the service of his guru Yogiji Maharaj. This day celebrates the 60th anniversary of this event and provides us with an opportunity to realise the life and work of our Guruhari.
3. Param Pujya Didi’s and Param Pujya Deviben’s 75th Birthday celebrations
Param Pujya Didi and Param Pujya Deviben, together with Param Pujya Taraben and Param Pujya Jyotiben, are the founding members of the Gunatit Jyot and thus are the founding pillars of our organisation. They started their sadhana under the guidance of Guruhari Pappaji Maharaj and worked with him to establish thissamaj. This is an opportunity to pay homage to their efforts for their life and work. We would all not be here today, were it not for their pioneering efforts to establish the way for us to follow.
4. Param Pujya Jasuben’s 50th Divine day Anniversary and Param Pujya Ben’s Divine day celebrations
Together with the four founding members of Gunatit Jyot, Param Pujya Ben and Param Pujya Jasuben have also supported and established the Gunatit Jyot, and its samaj as we know it today. They have been instrumental in the process and it is with great fortune that we can take this opportunity also to celebrate what these two great sant have done for our samaj. Both of these great swaroopo bring unique insight from their personal experiences, which enables them to understand the everyday problems facing the ordinary satsangi and provide authentic ways to follow their example.
It is with great pride and joy to know that Jyot has organised these celebrations during one major event spanning 3 days, to allow all our satsangi to attend the events and facilitate the organisation of travel and accommodation by Jyot. So let us all participate, either in person or virtually, through this website.
