Mar 2019 – Health Camp Anand

A General Health Checkup Camp was organized by Shree Gunatit Jyot Mahila Trust, Vallabh Vidyanagar from 1st March to 20th March, 2019, at Anand. Our health is our responsibility, our right and our duty. Health checkup and diagnostic tests can help to find problems before they occur. They can help find problems early so that your chances for treatment and cure are better. By getting the right health services, screenings and treatments, we are taking steps that help chances for living a longer, healthier life.

In view of this, the check up activity was planned in three stages – diagnostic, general and gynae checkup. Registration was free for participants, but mandatory. They were split in three groups for Diagnostic checkup:

a)   Group – I – above 40 years,

b)   Group – II – between 18 – 40 years and,

c)   Group – III – below 18 years of age and accordingly tests were conducted in them.

Blood counts, with histogram, ESR, peripheral blood smear, urine examination, fasting blood sugar, S. Creatinine, lipid profile, TSH/PSA (Females/Males respectively) were conducted in Group – I. For participants in Group – II, blood counts, histogram, ESR, peripheral blood smear, urine examination, random blood sugar and serum protein tests were conducted.  Similarly, in Group III, blood counts, histogram, ESR, peripheral blood smear, urine examination and blood group were carried out.

The diagnostic blood checkup camp was organized at Dr. Vandana Shah Pathology laboratory, Anand from 1st March to 15th March, 2019. Total Candidates who participated in the diagnostic camp were 171, as follows:

a.   Above 40 years Males – 66 in number,

b.   Above 40 years Females – 60 in number,

c.    Between 18 to 40 – 36 in number, and

d.   Below 18 – 09 in number

In continuation of the above programme the consultation of 100 participants were carried out by Dr. Kalpesh Gohel, General Practiceioner of Anand, from 4th March to 16th March, 2019. ECG was carried out in needy participants above 40 years of age. Dr. Kalpesh Gohel treated the needy patients conservatively.

Lastly 35 female participants were consulted by Dr. Anjana Patel, Senior Gynecologist, Paavan Hospital, Anand from 7th March to 20th March, 2019. Medicines for the participants was managed from Radhe Medical Stores, Anand.
