A message for the New Year 2011 – “Para Bhakti Parva”

We are blessed that Param Pujya Pappaji has given us another year to achieve the “Bhakti” that he wishes for us. This year is a year of promise for us all, a year for us to discover the power and presence of “smruti” within ourselves, a promise for us to discover our deeper nature and the deeper intelligence that resides there; an intelligence that is not threatened by anything and that is the source of our strength and our determination.

In doing this seva and bhakti Pappaji asks us not to think what other people should do or must not do for it is the “I” who must change to achieve our goals for Para Bhakti Parva. We must all find a way of gaining greater strength to do the ultimate; this may be in the form of seva for haribhakto or writing the “swaminaraiyun mantra” or even just focusing on one of Pujya Pappaji’s vachans – “do not see the black side of others”. We all have the strength to do this as this resides at a deeper level, as a bedrock within ourselves that is solid and strong and that which does not wither in the face of adversity or uncertainty.

The message for 2011 is to find that strength and purpose to achieve what our Divine swaroopo and Param Pujya Pappaji want for us. We will have the opportunity to open the doors within ourselves and remain submerged and fulfilled with all the smruti that Param Pujya Pappaji has blessed us with.

The Para Bhakti year itself is a booster for us as we will all experience that sense of harmony and balance in our daily lives.  It will enable us to enhance our powers of prayers, bhajan and smruti; this is a great blessing. So my prayer today is to Dear Pappaji to say “thank you” for giving us this opportunity to focus and to give us the energy and strength to find that “inner strength” to focus on “bhakti” and “seva”. This is meant for us.

Jai Swaminarayan
