Chapter Thirteen: Unity, Harmony and Spiritual Friendship Samp, Suhradbhav, Ékta

Unity, harmony and spiritual friendship have been advocated by Yogiji Maharaj himself. We should try to apply these fundamental principles in our lives.

Sometimes when you endeavour to practice these principles; you may witness things which will make you feel unhappy. Under these circumstances, you may politely request the person concerned to change their behaviour etc. If they do not comply, then leave it up to Bapa to sort out, you must simply pray. Do not insist on others to change or comply. If you continue to pray to Bapa, He will surely bring about a solution to the problem in His own way.

Be patient and pray and then watch the results. Bapa’s solution to the problem will ultimately be the most optimum solution, which even you will witness and accept.

However, most of the time, we do not have such patience. Therefore, we approach the person concerned directly without praying, we may discuss the issues with them, argue with them, insist that they change to our way of thinking etc. Alternatively, we may ignore them or snub them. We do not resort to prayer as a means of solving our disagreement.

At all costs, we should endeavour to practice unity, harmony and spiritual friendship. We should never get involved in arguments and quarrels, but should resort to introspection. Instead of resorting to wrath and insisting that we get what we want, it is better to pray to Bapa and allow Him to solve the problems in His own way.

The result will be the best and the solution will be a permanent one.

One who constantly practices ‘Gunatit-Bhav’ is a saint.
