Chapter Eighteen: Worship with Dedication and According to the Lord’s Aspirations

Abhipray ni bhakti

Arjun gave his whole-hearted support to Lord Shree Krishna in his mission, Arjun worshipped and devoted his life with such conviction and devotion that he has earned the reputation of a ‘supreme unparalleled devotee’ for posterity.  Similarly, Sukhdevji and Udhavji have been recognised for their devotion and bestowed with the gift of supreme spiritual knowledge (gnan).

We should strive to ascertain Yogibapa’s (the pratyaksh swaroop’s) mission.  At the BrahmShatriya hall in 1952,  Bapa had stated that it was His mission to ensure everyone attained a spiritual status equivalent to that of Shastriji Maharaj.  He promised the santos that they would attain the spiritual status as quoted in Vachnamrut G. I. 27 – and that with his own determination. (sankalpa)

Accordingly we have witnessed the formation of the Gunatit Samaj.  We have been able to recognise all the swaroopswho have reached the spiritual status as described in Vachnamrut Sarangpur 7.  Maharaj has instituted this in a very systematic and scientific manner.

Bapa’s aspiration and mission is that we should hold a firm conviction and belief in God and god-realised saints as prescribed in Vachnamrut G.I.62, G.II.13, G.I. 67 and that we should guide and nurture all sabandhwalas such that they relinquish all worldly desires in favour of the desire to remain in Akshardham.

Maharaj will be pleased and will shower his blessings on whoever bears in mind these principles and endeavours to practice them.  Whoever bears in mind these principles and practices them is practising the principle of mahatmya-yukt séva. This will be enough to please Maharaj to bestow upon them His blessings.  The characteristics of anyone who practices this principle is irrelevant.  What is relevant is the sentiment, determination/conviction and action (sankalpabhav and kriya) practiced by that person.

Presently everyone has made a firm resolution to please Bapa.

  1. Everyone is trying hard to remain submerged in their Gurus
  2. Everyone, be they young or old conducts the sentiments, determination and actions with the intention of pleasing Bapa.
  3. Everyone endeavours to believe that the whole samaj is controlled by Brahm – (God).  Everyone is constantly conscious of  the hymn ‘Ugati Prabha yé….’  and lives accordingly.

Maharaj will inspire Bapa to shower the blessings on all those who practice this, just as Bhagatji Maharaj, Jaga-Swami and Krishnaji-Ada were blessed.

Perhaps, someone living accordingly may not be given the recognition they deserve.  Whether or not it is noticed, everyone is treated equally by Maharaj and in Akshardham  there is always justice.

Thus anyone, be they young or old, who makes a steadfast resolution to live according to these principles will be rewarded with a supreme spiritual status – they will be able to see the ‘leela and experience the divine peace and bliss as quoted in the vachnamrut G.III.11. and thus experience the happiness of Gnan-Samadhi.  If they become the slave of Maharaj and an instrument of Maharaj, then they would experience Sahajanandi happiness (constant happiness).  This is the unique chance we have been given by Bapa.  We should not waste such an opportunity but should be eager to exploit it.  Bapa is constantly urging us, to seize the opportunity and achieve happiness.

Right up to the present moment, all those who have supported Bapa in his mission have been rewarded with happiness and peace according to the extent of their support and conviction. This is a continuous process which Bapa wills through his own conviction and divine strength.  He assists them in over-coming the laukik and alaukik stages of their sadhanas.

Thus it is imperative that mahatmya-yukta séva (service with devotion) becomes an addiction or a habit until we reach the stage denoted by constant inner-peace, bliss and happiness (i.e, Sahajanandi Chétna) as per Vachnamrut G.III 25.  A habit which must not be broken because we are very fortunate to have been given such a rare chance.
